Brief Introduction to Medicinal Chemistry

Abstract


Medicinal chemistry is an interdisciplinary scientific field of chemistry which combines the applied and basic sciences. In simple words, medicinal chemistry is an interwoven science that combines the basics of chemistry, pharmacy, and drug discovery and designing. It comprises the discovery, development, identification, and interpretation of the mode of action of biologically active molecules and compounds at molecular level.
