Formation and Characterization of Some transition Metal Complexes with Novel Azo- ligand

Abdulrahman Ahmed, lbtihal Kadhim K

Abstract

A Schiff base is named after Hugo. It is a compound with the general structure R2C=NR'. These compounds have a great application and a great use in many biochemistry fields. Schiff base and azo dyes have several methods for preparation in coordination chemistry and inorganic chemistry in complexation field as a ligands with different  ions and different reagents as a removal  ions from  rivers  and waste of  water. For instance a Schiff base derived from an aniline, where R3 is a phenyl or a substituted phenyl can be called as an anil, while bis-compounds are often referred to as salen-type compounds.

Keywords: Schiff base, biochemistry, novel, azo-ligand, aniline, compounds, azo dyes, phenyl, metal complexes, inorganic chemistry.
