Abstract

The objective of the survey designated in this study is to predict the redox-active feature of formazan derivatives. To realize this purpose, preparation processes and investigation approaches of the formazan derivatives are developed. The redox properties of formazan derivatives were identified via  electrochemical approaches and the first samples of isolated and well-investigated formazan  products are designated in this review. Formazan derivatives (as a dyes) are synthetic chromogenic yields of the reduction of formazan via  dehydrogenases with  reductases. They have a variation of colors from (dark blue to deep bloodshot to orange), depending on the original formazan applied as the substrate to the reaction. Leading this sample of formazan involves  several  medical and pharmaceutical  applications as  enzymatically or through direct reaction with NADH or NADPH the classical  formazan derivatives, the formazan dyes are usually used in cell proliferation and poisonousness tests like the Epi-Derm  besides  Epi-Skin investigations since they merely stain living, metabolically active cells.
