Abstract

Compounding or formulation refers to the addition of certain chemicals to raw rubber in order to obtain the desired properties which are to be prepared by mixing additives to fulfil the processing, performance and economic statistics of rubber products. The common chemicals and for alternation of such properties are cross linking agents, reinforcement agents, antidegradants, plasticizers, curatives and stabilizers. The present communication report synthesis of Ionic Liquid and effect of IL loading onto the properties of a NBR/PVC compound. Keyword: Green Liquid, Compounding, Synthetic Rubber, Cure Characteristics, Physical Properties
