Abstract

The research carried out to examine the usefulness of corrosion in metals in swampy soil. It also reveals the weight loss and corrosion rate in a metal. The following physicochemical parameters which include BOD, COD, pH and microbial activities were modelled. The extent of metal corrosion in swampy soil is dependent on many different and often interrelated factors, trying to predict what may happen to a specific object after wrecking is virtually impossible except in the broadest of terms. Corrosion products have been thoroughly studied. It is still often not clear how certain metals have corroded or why apparently similar metals are so differently attacked. Corrosion reaction areas essentially oxidation and reduction reaction and all reactions accept or donate of electrons. This tendency for the reactions to occur is expressed by their reduction potential.
