Abstract

Dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes tetradentate ligand 2-((E)-(1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-3-((Z)-(quinoline-8-ylimino)methyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazole-4-ylimino)methyl)phenol was synthesized by conventional method The ligands and their MoO22+ complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, electronic. I.R., 1H and 13C-NMR spectral method, by their spectral studies, octahedral geometry of the complex has been proposed. On evaluation of in-vitro antitubercular activity of the ligand and dioxo Mo(VI) metal complex found that complex is more potent antitubercular agent than ligand.
