Abstract

The MATLAB tools were used in the research for monitoring the potential of hot and cold fluid application and the integrity of split range control model as related to the effect of temperature. The temperature of the cold fluid was within the room temperature and the temperature of the hot fluid was at elevated temperature. The research showcases decrease in hot fluid with increase in cold fluid, which demonstrate the process of heat exchanger. A constant in the degree of temperature of the cold water was obtained at 35oF as well as for hot water is 153oF. The rate of increase and decrease in temperature is controlled and the composition of the fluid is attributed to the nature of the fluid as well as the characteristics as related to their inlet temperature. The modeling of the process of a split range unit for monitoring, predicting and simulating the variation in the process temperature was achieved by the application of MATLAB ODE
