Sustainability in Precision Agriculture: Pest Management through Advanced Technologies
Abstract
Precision Agriculture (PA) is a cutting-edge field of modern agriculture that uses cutting-edge technologies to transform pest management strategies and promote sustainable agricultural systems. Precision agriculture serves the dual purposes of providing immediate pest control and advancing the larger objectives of resilient and sustainable agricultural systems by utilizing technology, data, and targeted strategies. Precision agriculture has the potential to significantly influence how agriculture develops in the future because of its capacity to customize interventions, maximize resource utilization, and make well-informed judgments. Precision agriculture represents a fundamental shift in farming practices toward one that is more efficient, ecologically conscientious, and sustainable. It is more than just a technological advancement in pest management. Precision agriculture promises a peaceful coexistence between technology and agriculture that benefits both farmers and the environment as it continues to improve, and awareness of the issue rises. Precision agriculture is built on these fundamental elements, which provide a sophisticated awareness of the environment and enable real-time decision-making. In light of this, we examine how precision agriculture and environmentally friendly pest control techniques work hand in hand. a wide range of sustainable methods that fall under the umbrella of precision agriculture and emphasize the use of natural enemies, cultural customs, and biological control. By means of captivating case studies that encompass a variety of agricultural environments, we present the concrete achievements and revolutionary effects of precision agriculture in reducing pest pressures. the restrictions and challenges involved in using precision agriculture to manage pests, giving a fair assessment of the situation as it stands today. We consider where precision agriculture will go in the future, shedding light on new developments in technology and trends and their possible effects on environmentally friendly pest control. Precision agriculture is superior to traditional methods, as demonstrated by comparison analyses that highlight both its environmental and economic advantages. Beyond just technology, the story delves into the sociopolitical context, adoption obstacles, and policy ramifications that influence the assimilation of precision agriculture into conventional farming methods.
