Review on Effects of Photo-Processes in Environment

Nawfel Muhammed Baqer Muhsi

Abstract

This review conversed about Photo-processes. Light in the form of small amounts of radiant energy absorbs photons. The photon energy depend on the wavelength of light. After a photon is absorbed, the energy of the molecule increases and it is in an excited state. In most cases, the molecule remains in this state of one-millionth of a second or less. Sometimes the molecule reverts directly to its normal state by losing energy gained in collisions with other atoms, or by releasing it in the form of light. But if the wavelength of the absorbed light photon was short- as in visible light then the molecule might have received enough energy to undergo unusual chemical reactions while it is in an excited state

Keywords: photoprocess , photochemistry, environment, photo molecule, photo-pollution.
