Abstract

Fresh air is the major requirement to sustain a healthy life. Air pollution occurs when toxic gases, dust, smoke or odor are introduced into the atmosphere which makes it harmful to human, animals and plant. Both natural and human activities have the potential to pollute the air. Man is to blame for the environment's overall degradation. Globally, our atmosphere is very contaminated. Due to the expansion of industry, there has been an increase in the release of various gaseous pollutants and particulate matter. In the world, air pollution claims the lives of almost 8 million people annually. Contaminants in the air which can be adverse to humans and the environment. Pollutants can take the shape of solid particles, droplets of liquid, or gases. There are two types of pollutants: primary and secondary. The main pollutants are created directly, such as SO2 discharged from factories or carbon monoxide gas from automobile exhaust. In this review paper we report air pollution and its impacts. It can be reduced through viable and possible solutions.
