Mass Production and Isolation of Trichoderma harzianum from Different Media Using Liquid and Solid Fermentation Technique and Evolution against Fusarium oxysporum

Shipra Sharma

Abstract

Mycelial growth conidal production and biomass yield of trichoderma species (Trichoderma harzianum) were examined on different culture media including potato dextrose media, waksman media, soyabean meal media, glucose peptone media, jaggery media, malt extract media, cornmeal media, czepaks media. A big factor in growth rate was the medium. The optimum medium in terms of growth spore generation and biomass output was soyabean meal media. For mycelial growth, biomass output, and spore generation, trichoderma harzianum was superior than the other three.Fusarium moniliforme, fusarium oxysporum, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani, Botryodiplodia theobramae, and Alternaria alternata were six distinct seed-borne pathogenic fungus that species of trichoderma aggressively antagonisted in vitro. The development of all pathogenic fungi's mycelia was most effectively inhibited by trichoderma harzianum. The main objective of this study is to cultivate trichoderma harzianum, formulated it and experiments was conducted on different concentration combination of fungicides to prepare a mass cultivate of the suitable bio-fungicide trichoderma spp. are quick-growing fungus that are frequently utilised as growth boosters and bio- control agents for managing plant diseases transmitted through the soil. With the use of inexpensive, widely accessible solid-liquid carrier materials, the current experiment was conducted to isolate and identify fast-growing trichoderma spp. and to produce large quantities of the organism. Colony and microscopic characterisation of many fungal spp. were observed after they had been isolated.
