Energy resources of Pakistan, Issues and crisis

Hoorain Yousaf Yousaf

Abstract

Planet has no fair distribution of energy sources. The energy sector needs to undergo a transition from fossil fuel to renewable energies and energy efficient technology to tackle global challenges.Continued economic and human growth depends on oil. In today’s existence, energy is so important that one can't even existence without it. All our acts are energy dependent. Electricity makes a big contribution to the socioeconomic progress and the nation’s national growth. For all financial exercises energy is necessary. Pakistan is a developing country that is facing a shortage of generating electricity because of its increasingly rising demand. Pakistan is one of the naturally gifted countries with traditional and renewable energy resources increasing. Pakistan’s energy needs have raised several folds in recent years due to enhanced lifestyle, every population, and economic growth. And is witnessing the cycles of energy crisis. Pakistan’s energy shortage is attributed to a lack of country level proposals for sustainable growth. The fact that technical and industrial advances are highly dependent on the fossil fuel would be greatly referred to in practice. The largest amount of electricity worldwide also depends on the fossil fuel. This paper provides the clean energy knowledge that would be useful for both the government and private sector stakeholder. Renewable energy supplies are available and have tremendous potential that indicates in the future, Pakistan will reduce the energy gap between demand and supply and solve the energy crisis.
